I admit that when I am shooting somewhere new, I get a little nervous. I’d been to Fells Point a few times, for personal trips, and one location scouting excursion, but I was still a little anxious about how we would pull it together on a busy Friday evening in one of Baltimore’s most beloved neighborhoods. The first time I visited Fells Point, I fell in love with the buildings, the stone streets, the narrow alleyways, the waterfront, and the whole vibe.  I got really excited when this family of three wanted to shoot there, and then I immediately began to panic about the busy streets and sidewalks. But I decided it was worth the chance to capture these absolutely amazing ladies in such a fun setting. Every family, couple, senior and child I photograph is a true joy, but these ladies were some of my favorites!  We had a great time exploring, and it was even more exciting watching them get excited about the same little spots I was oohhing and aaahhhhing over! When a client can see my vision alongside me, especially when we’re working on the fly, well….magic happens. Thank you to M, S & R for a fun evening, and being just adorable! You made it effortless to capture your personality and love!

I also have to point out that they nailed the “What to Wear for Family Photographs”! What you wear for your photo session is highly personal, and while I can help you with suggestions, sometimes it is best to keep it simple and fun. These two sassy and sweet girls loved their outfits, and that is part of what made the session a blast. They were comfortable, and not bothered or distracted by the clothes. And they may have just been the perfect outfits for dancing to a certain One Direction song. (A side note: I may have also worn my Chucks…I should have taken a picture of all of us in matching shoes!!!)
