Mr. + Mrs. G | San Diego Couples Photographer

I am so lucky to be able to work with my clients each year. Watching them grow, start new chapters, and fall more in love…it’s why I do this. I believe in the importance of capturing every chapter. To some people, that means an annual portrait session, or to mark the major milestones like anniversaries. I have a few couples clients that even though they don’t have children yet, they also believe in the importance of documenting this time in their “history”. Someday, those portraits will be heirlooms for their children and grandchildren. Don’t wait for the babies to come to have a professional portrait session! You will never regret the investment of professional photography.

Mr. + Mrs. G – I love you guys! We have so much fun on our sessions, and I truly enjoy the time we spend together. Not to mention, you are both an inspiration to so many people. Enjoy this peek at their Gaslamp Quarter holiday session!

Happy Holidays, S Family! | San Marcos Family Photographer

I have to be honest…we weren’t sure this session was going to happen. We had just had a few days of rain and it wasn’t looking good on the forecast. It was chilly, and damp, but it was decided that we would carry on anyway, and I am so glad we did! I had the pleasure of meeting this sweetheart, who could make anyone smile. It may have been wet and cold, but she was still ALL smiles for the camera. Just so adorable! Thank you, S Family, for being troopers and braving the potentially sketchy weather. The sun finally did come out to play, too!

Brooke – Class of 2013 Part 2 | San Diego Senior Portrait Photographer

If you’ve seen part 1 of Brooke’s session, you already know that we had a great time! I had such a difficult time narrowing down my favorites! In the end, we had over 100 images that made the cut! I just had to share some more, because I love Brooke’s style, confidence, and attitude. These are my very favorites from her session that took us from La Jolla to the Gaslamp. Brooke selected each of her outfits, and I think they were all perfect!  I am so happy to feature her with my other senior model reps on the Seniors website. (Facebook coming soon!)

Even if you’ve already had your senior portraits taken, Powell Woulfe Photography is here to make sure you get images that represent YOU. I get calls all the time from seniors who didn’t get the session they’d hoped from the school’s photographer. Well, let’s give you senior portraits that you are proud of and love!! I am currently booking Class of 2013 and 2014, and offering a discount in January on all senior collections to celebrate the launch of Powell Woulfe Photography SENIORS ’13. I hope you’ll visit the new site and see all the hard work my senior model reps have been up to, including Brooke! If you love what you see, be sure to leave a comment or two, as well!!

The S Family | San Marcos Photographer

It’s that time of year: lots of holiday portrait sessions. The last few months have been jam-packed.  I love it, though! Sure, I’m a little sleep-deprived; and I had to buy a bigger monitor for my tired eyes, but it is SO worth it! Whether new clients or old, I love my families! I know the holidays can be a very stressful time, and yes – sometimes that includes holiday portrait sessions. But it doesn’t have to be! I know that your time is precious, and so sometimes we have to squeeze a shoot into a less-than-ideal window. Sometimes that means that my clients are in a rush, and sometimes that means I have to shoot in less-than-ideal conditions. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a perfect photo session. I encourage my clients to relax as they can, and we’ll focus on capturing these moments in your family’s story.  We can’t let these memories get away from us. Believe me, I know what it is like to be on the other side of the lens, especially with small children. It may have been hectic, but I treasure every image, even the less than perfect ones. ?

I wanted to share some peeks from a family I photographed a few weeks ago. It was very bright that morning, and they had travel plans for later in the day, but I think we knocked it out of the park and captured this moment for them perfectly! And we had FUN. That is what it is all about!!
